How to combine rollercoasters, learning, and love of animals!

Just before school started, hubby and I took Bok Boy and Little Miss to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA. (although to those of us that have lived here forever, it's Marine World!)

We learned tons of amazing facts about animals (both kids have been reading books like crazy and having me look up info on the internet about animals since then.) When I was young, they pretty much only had animals and a few kiddie rides, but now even the kiddie rides have gotten fancy! There's at least 3 large areas of kid rides, including roller coasters. For the first time ever, Little Miss was able to ride a coaster! She was thrilled and has been strutting her stuff like a big girl.

Just a small sampling of what we saw:

We saw just how far an elephant's trunk stretches

...and how trusting her trainer is

and Bok Boy got to feed her a banana!

We saw Orcas jumping

...and playing

...and tigers diving,

swimming,

and drinking a bottle!

and gorgeous butterflies fluttering.

Next time you're heading to an amusement park, see if you can find one that has interesting and educational things! We all love the rides, but animals can teach us so much about the world. This way you can do both in one day (and give your stomach a break in between roller coaster rides!)

EdenFantasys Review and Giveaway!

I'm a big fan of using lots of different ways to add zip to a relationship, and even though my hubby and I have been married for 7 years, we always find ways to have fun (in and out of the bedroom). Start off with the Raspberry Sunshine Love Suds and get yourself clean, fragrant and ready for fun! The Almond Body Massage Oil and the Strawberry flavored Massage Oil are both great for a relaxing (or not-so-relaxing) start to the evening. They feel wonderful when smoothed on the skin, and are fragrant enough to make both of you (and the room) smell wonderful. The strawberry oil does smell wonderful, but is a bit too oily for me to consider using it as a flavored oil very often.

The candle is a great way to set the mood, and can be lots of fun if you're into wax play! The feather has tons of uses on super-sensitive skin, however I'm extremely ticklish, so we don't use this much.

The vibrator is a decently made vibrator that uses a AA battery. It is powerful enough to do a good job and small enough to be discreet (and have lots of interesting uses).

The wooden massager is a good way to help relax, although there seem to be limited areas of the body to use it on due to the shape of the massager. However, it does feel great on warm, oiled skin!

Overall, I love this kit! It's a great starter kit for someone, or a fun way to boost your toy collection without spending a fortune on different products!

Spinning Fun (not so much!)

The last week has been quite an interesting one. I've been fighting a case of Labyrinthitis (an inflammation of the inner ear), which causes severe dizziness. I had the same problem last year also, as it seems to happen after a bad cold.

So aside from having the world spinning (to the point that the doctor told me to keep my hand on the wall as I walk), meds for dizziness that make me drowsy, and still being a mom to two kids, I haven't managed to get much done around the house (or on this blog). Also, the kids are taking advantage of the fact that Mommy is dizzy, so their toys aren't picked up (which is fun when you can't look down while you're walking!)

So forgive me for not updating this site... I'll have a new giveaway posted in a couple of days (maybe sooner if I feel better!)
