My thoughts:

When I first started reading this book I was seriously angry with Mr. Mefford. After reading the first 23 books in the series I was very connected to the characters in his books. So this book threw me for a major loop right from page one.

There is a rash of killings very close to home for Alex, Ozzie and Ivy. Someone is orchestrating murders in different towns at nearly the same time. And the killings just keep getting worse.

Can they find their way to safety before one of their lives is the next one taken?

This is a phenomenal end to the series, with an amazing amount of twists and turns. While I'm sad to see this series end, I can't wait for Mr. Mefford's next books!

My thoughts:

Bones is my new favorite Whiskey! He is a rough and tough biker on the weekends and a cancer doctor during the week. He cares madly about his family and everyone under the shelter of the Dark Knights.

After Sarah and her kids are rescued from a car accident Bones is immediately drawn to her. He pays attention, takes care of her and the kids, and spends time making sure that she has foods that she can eat with her huge list of food allergies.

Sarah is running from an abusive ex and a horrible childhood, and she's doing it with two small children in tow and a child growing inside her. She finds trust nearly impossible, but Bones is patient, loving and kind. And slowly she learns to spread her wings.

Can they make a relationship work? Their lives are so incredibly different, and Sarah is so hurt.

All of the Whiskeys are amazing people, and I've loved watching their family grow and spread. Their love for the community is immense, and they refuse to let people be in harm's way.

My thoughts:

I read Treat and Max's story before, but this newly reimagined story made me so very happy! Treat and Max started to fall for each other over the phone, had a few hours of intimacy, then a misunderstanding ruined everything.

A chance encounter gives them the opportunity to fix their mistake, but can they get beyond their past? They each have a history that makes a relationship difficult, and they've burned the bridge between them.

Can time heal their wounds? Or are they bound to be separate?

This is a steamy, wonderful novel, with a group of friends and supporting characters that I love. I can't wait to read the next in the series to continue the story!

My thoughts:

Max and Treat fell for each other over many phone calls while helping to plan a wedding. A few hours of passion should've been the beginning of the story, but a misunderstanding quickly made it the end...

Until a chance encounter gives them a second chance at love. Can they get past their histories and give each other another chance at life?

I love Mrs. Cole's Sweet With Heat stories! It's a wonderful, heartfelt romance without too much detail or explicit scenes. It's perfect for when you when you want something sweet instead of something raunchy.
