My thoughts:

 

This is a wonderful story, truly different from books that I've read before. The stories from Nicole's childhood gave me such flashbacks to my own, not because they were identical but because of the innocence of the time, and the thrill of playing outdoors. But as happens to all of us, things changed, and Nicole's innocence was shattered. 

As an adult she's sheltered her heart and has just recently begun to open herself up. And everything changed yet again, leaving her with an impossible decision to make.

This was an excellent book, and very difficult for me to put down. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

"one of the guys." However, Sidney is in love with Gunner, who has a constant revolving bedroom door, and has seemingly never looked at Sidney as other than his friend and sidekick.

Sid is willing to try anything to get Gunner to notice her as a woman, so she hatches a plan to catch the eye of a mystery guy, and have Gunner be her wingman. Can a plan that crazy actually work? Will they find their forever connection or will things change for the worse?

This book is very hot, and very sweet, and makes me want to join this family and friend group even more than I did before! This book can definitely be read as a standalone, but you will want to go back and read them all!

This is another great read from Mark Nolan! This series is one of my favorites, especially with the absolute love and loyalty between Jake and Cody.

When Jake and his friends' vacation plans are destroyed by an IED, Jake and Cody help search to save more lives. But when the bomber becomes angry that his plans continue to be thwarted he aims his hatred and Jake, Cody, and their loved ones.

Can Jake and Cody find him before he destroys anyone else? 

This book is a great addition to the series, in a different locale than we normally find this crime fighting duo.

About the author

Mark Nolan is a "Marine Dad." His son served as an infantry Marine with deployments to Afghanistan. Mark also raised a daughter who can set up a camp in the forest, make a fire, and shoot a rifle to hit a bullseye. Mark and his family love dogs and they raised a super smart Golden Retriever. Born near the sea shore, Mark has enjoyed boating, fishing, scuba diving and exploring in Florida, Mexico, California, Hawaii, etc. All of these life experiences have influenced the plot lines, characters and locations in his stories.
