Graham is a real estate mogul and investor who spends his life traveling from one location to another as organized and methodical as someone can be. Morgyn travels extensively but always road trips and has never been on a train. The two couldn't be more different, but they couldn't love each other more.

Can they get past their differences and find a balance in life? Can Morgyn love Graham without losing herself and her business? Can Graham continue to do what he loves without having to walk away from Morgyn constantly?

My thoughts:

This is an amazing kick off for a series! Amelia is at the height of her career, dressing one of the most famous women in the world. She's spent a year making styles and styling Fifi, and the pinnacle is her wedding gown, made of ancient queen's lace and gold. After a long delay, Fifi walks down the aisle, leaving bits of her dress at each step. The entire skirt has disintegrated, along with Amelia's career!

Amelia returns home to discover that her personal life is also in shambles. She returns home to her Gram, only to discover that her Gram's building and business are falling apart around her.

While the two of them try to help a desperate bride, they're starting to understand things about themselves and their lives.

I adored this story! I was shocked, I laughed, and I even shed a tear. My only complaint is that I really wanted this to be a full length story, not the shorter novel that it is. I can't wait for the next one!

Dangerous Delays Book Review and Giveaway

My thoughts:

This book is the best combination of romance, mystery and daily life! I adored watching the renovation take place, and seeing Emily and Jackson grow into something that has potential made me smile. 

I especially like the fact that things are moving as they might in real life, with Jackson taking care to make sure that nothing will disrupt the health and well being of his brother.

The discovery of a dead body during the renovation, along with the continual vandalism and construction delays makes Emily question whether the B & B will ever actually open, and causes financial concerns for the owners. But can they find the identity of the body, and figure out who murdered her before it's too late?

About Emily Lazzaro

Emily Lazzaro is the daughter of Wayne Lazzaro, the winemaker for the Hilltop Sunset winery in the previously published three Brynn Bancroft mysteries. She moved with her fiancé to Ramona, Calif., a rural community near San Diego, following graduation from college with a degree in hospitality. Joyce T. Strand is the author of contemporary and historical who-done-it mysteries.

She is the author of the Jillian Hillcrest Mysteries, ON MESSAGE, OPEN MEETINGS, and FAIR DISCLOSURE; the Brynn Bancroft Mysteries, HILLTOP SUNSET, and LANDSCAPE FOR MURDER; the Emily Lazzaro Mysteries, DANGEROUS CHANGES, and the latest release DANGEROUS DELAYS; and a historical mystery, THE JUDGE’S STORY. 

Much like Jillian, Joyce headed corporate communications at several biotech and high-tech companies in California’s Silicon Valley for more than 25 years. My thoughts:

This is a gritty, twisty murder mystery, with just the right amount of personal backstory to keep it interesting. The BAU is called in to help solve a missing person case and possible serial killer case.

But is someone hunting the BAU while they're hunting a killer? And can they find Jenna alive before a serial killer takes her head?

This is the seventh book in the Brandon Fisher FBI series, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone book! However, I recommend backing up and reading the whole series - you won't be sorry!
