Flirting with Love Book Tour and Giveaway

NEW RELEASE........
Book #10 The Bradens, Love in Bloom Series #18

Elisabeth Nash has spent years dreaming of returning to the small town of Trusty, Colorado, where she spent summers with her favorite aunt. When she inherits her aunt’s farmette, she closes her Los Angeles pet bakery and pampering business, sure that life in Trusty will be as peaceful and as welcoming as she remembers. But being an outsider in the close-knit town proves to be very different from the happy summers she remembers from her childhood—and falling for Trusty’s hot, wealthy, and sinfully irresistible veterinarian, Ross Braden, sends the rumor mill into a frenzy.

Ross Braden learned long ago that gossip spreads faster than weeds in his small hometown, and Ross loves nothing more than his privacy. For that reason, he doesn’t date women who live in Trusty. But that was before blond, beautiful, and refreshingly honest Elisabeth Nash flew into his vet clinic seeking help for her panicked piglet and turned his comfortable life—and his heart—inside out.

Despite rumors about Elisabeth’s motives toward her aunt’s property, passion brews between Elisabeth and Ross. Every steamy kiss and every sensual touch brings the pair closer together, and when Ross helps Elisabeth try to fit into the town he adores, it makes their bond even stronger. But even Elisabeth’s efforts toward reaching the community, and the love she and Ross so desperately believe in, might not be enough for the protective small town to offer them a future.

THE BRADEN COUSINS are one of the newest additions to the LOVE IN BLOOM series.
**CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

My thoughts:

As always, I love this addition to the Love in Bloom series! Melissa Foster knocked it out of the park with this book yet again. From the squealing, escaping piglet at the very beginning of the story to the last words, I couldn't put it down.

Melissa Foster definitely knows how to write a very steamy, down to earth romance! Elisabeth and Ross are both written as real people, rather than the over the top characters that are often found in romance novels. Several other Bradens from past (and presumably future) stories were also involved in this book, tying in into the series well.

This book can easily be read as a stand alone book if you haven't already started the series, but it will definitely convince you to go back and start on the other books!

VTech Innotab Learning Cartridge Review and Giveaway

As you all know, VTech is one of the favorite brands in our house. We have lots of VTech toys, but the all-time favorite is our InnoTab 3S. Even the big kids play it reasonably regularly!

We received two new InnoTab cartridges to play and learn with, and they are absolutely perfect for my preschooler who is struggling to learn to write correctly.

Learn to Write with Cody & Cora (ages 3-6, MSRP $24.99)

This game and book are excellent for helping learn handwriting skills! Cody and Cora are Smart Cubs that are featured in the e-book included on this cartridge. Kids can read and listen to the e-book and then work their way through the games, which get progressively more challenging.

Kids also unlock certain games and areas by completing games and letter practice.

The biggest plus for me about this game is that it shows you how to correctly write your letters. It's always a big struggle to teach kids that letters should be written in a certain order and in a certain direction. For example, if your child is crossing the T first then drawing the line down it won't accept it.

The one drawback for me is that a lot of the games on this cartridge are very similar, so exploring more games isn't as exciting as it could be.

Go! Go! Smart Wheels Busy Day in Alphabet Town (ages 2-5, MSRP $24.99)

Go! Go! Smart Wheels has a wide variety of different games and activities. It is definitely my daughter's favorite game that she owns (and she has quite a few, so that's a big deal!) Each of the games have a cute intro video and the e-book is fun.

At the Mechanic Shop kids match the letters on the cars to the letters in the mechanic bays so that the cars can be repaired.

Catch a Letter Thief has you chasing down the road in your police car to find letters, tipping your InnoTab from side to side to change lanes.

In Fire Truck Rescue you're trying to find a kitten stuck in a tree by matching letters to their sounds.

Letter Construction teaches you to write your letters properly.

Alphabet Review reviews letters, their sounds and gives you pictures of words that start with that letter.

You can also customize your own car and explore Alphabet town, which unlocks as you complete other sections of the game.

This is a great game cartridge, with a wide variety of alphabet games. It also has a large age range that it works for, since there are so many types of alphabet games. Younger kids can do well matching letters and older kids can practice writing and sound association.

The awesome thing about both of these cartridges is that they work with all current InnoTab models and with the new InnoTab MAX!

Want to find out more? Check out the cartridges here, all of the InnoTab products here, or find InnoTab on Twitter or Facebook.

These would make a great gift idea for the little ones in your life!

Want to win these cartridges? InnoTab is giving one of my readers the two games that I received for their very own! Just enter on the Rafflecopter below and good luck!

Holiday Bliss Book 2 Review and Giveaway

Holiday Bliss is book 2 in the Bliss series-- It comprises three romantic novellas by three different authors--set in different era's, in one home on the water called, Bliss.

Tending Her Heart by Kathleen Shoop
Julie Peters' plans to modernize Waterside Hospital's labor and delivery protocols are thwarted by old school doctors and brown-nosing colleagues. But a handsome doctor who understands her point-of-view has a fine bedside manner and a way of Tending Her Heart that has forever-after attached to it. Can a Thanksgiving stay in the regal home called Bliss give her the space she needs to right her future and fall in love?

The Christmas Miracle by Marcy Waldenville
Brenan Brown has a terrible secret. One his beautiful wife doesn't know about. One that could destroy his happiness and his family. One he'd thought he buried along with his former identity in a grave in Ireland. But shady characters--terrorists really--from his past come to the stately mansion with blackmail and kidnapping on their minds. And with his family's after at risk, his future in peril, all Brenan can hope for is The Christmas Miracle.

Holiday Wish by JD Wylde
Vaughn Jennings has one rule he refuses to break. Not even for Chelsea Chathford, the curvaceous master carpenter he employs. With just reason. But with every day that goes by, it gets harder and harder to follow his rule. Can he follow his heart? Or forever wish he had? Because Christmas comes but once a year. And with it, the only chance to have his Holiday Wish come true.

My thoughts:

While I've read anthologies many times before, I've never seen them tied together quite so well! This is a wonderful trio of stories that center around a historic home (Bliss) and the people who live in it and their loved ones.

Each story is set in a different time, and in each there are struggles to overcome in order for the couple to find love. It was an excellent way to watch the story grow through time, with ties between them (gifts given to a homeowner in one story are introduced in another).

My personal favorite of the trio was Tending Her Heart, which included a great career struggle and showed me a history if childbirth that I wasn't aware existed!

I also love that they were all set in the holidays, which is a magical time for storytelling. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who wants a quick and romantic holiday read!

"Each story is vivid in historical and modern details and will certainly have you wanting to visit Bliss yourself. The characters come to life, making you fall in love with each and every couple, rooting for them to make it. I highly recommend this wonderful novel by five talented authors."
- Kristine McCaffrey - Amazon Reader Review on Bliss Series Book 1

"Loved the book! It's my first anthology and I couldn't wait to get to the next story for the continuation. Can't wait to read these authors' next books."

Welcome to A Season to be Thankful For! $150 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway.
Sponsored by Pregknowsis and Hosted by Bonkers4coupons

Pregknowsis.com is an informative based website about trying to conceive, pregnancy advice and early parenthood. It all started when pregnant women (now moms) were seeking answers to their many questions about conception and pregnancy. They wanted a website that was different and unique from the ones that were currently available. I believe with Pregknowsis, they found it! What makes their website unique is the ability for users to reach out in this community, develop, post, answer poll questions and even blog about your favorite topics. The answers and data that you and others provide will be analyzed which will make it meaningful for everyone to relate.
 pregknowsis logo2
So you ask, how does the Pregknowsis website work? By visiting www.Pregknowsis.com, the initial individual experience is to create and register for a free profile. As soon as you answer a few simple questions about your lifestyle and demographics you will be on your way! Setting up your profile is quick and easy.Honestly it took me about 3 minutes to complete. Once you have completed the registration, then users can begin asking or answering questions about pre pregnancy, conception or related to early parenthood. Your answers can be viewed instantly by using community answers in a statistical format. Once enough users have answered that particular question then the answers become significant. More of a reliable and trusted source. Your answers can also be advanced further, so you can customize them by eight different categories that are submitted into profiles. Users also have the ability to change their lifestyle factors including a change in their fertility, social habits and BMI.

On the website of Pregknowsis.com, you also can take advantage of answering daily and category polls such as Pregnancy Symptoms, Relationship, Miscarriage and More! I actually find it refreshing to offer my opinion and advice to those who are experiencing some of the same things that I have gone through myself. I would definitely check out the "Hot" Polls for latest top question topics. You can also search on the Pregknowsis website for poll questions that might be available only in their archives. This feature is great specially when you need to look up multiple questions or answers. Overall, Pregknowsis.com is an inviting website where you can reach out to your community and moms alike, for great tips, answers and support. It's a great way for new moms to mingle with many experienced parents. I believe the advice given is honest and I feel that when they answer your questions it's from their own past experiences. Cache a Predator Book Review and Giveaway

Cache a Predator is a geocaching thriller about a father’s love, justice, and the unhinged game of hide-the-cache.

Officer Brett Reed will do anything to gain custody of his five-year-old daughter, Quinn. But when a judge grants Brett's drug-addicted ex-wife custody and slaps him with a protective order for losing his temper, he fears for Quinn's safety. Who will protect her now?

When Quinn is found abandoned on the streets, she's placed in a temporary foster home until Child Protective Services can complete an assessment. It should only take a few days.

But a lot can happen in a few days.

Especially when there's a deranged psychopath on the loose, someone who's attacking pedophiles, someone who wants to protect children like Quinn, and someone who's planting body parts in geocaching sites.

This book is hidden in cache sites all over the US and Canada with the goal for it to travel to all 50 states. It’s mission is to spread awareness of child abuse and how it harms victims, families, and communities.

My thoughts:

Cache a Predator is a wonderfully dark mystery, with characters so real you'd believe they had lived alongside you their whole lives. It is an excellent whodunit mystery with a very real reminder that child abuse exists in our lives, even where you least expect it.

Because of it's focus on child abuse and custody situations, it hits very close to home for many many people. For that reason it can be very difficult to read, yet it's nearly impossible to put down. I read it almost entirely in one sitting, because I couldn't stand to walk away before I found out what happened to Quinn and Brett.

The addition of geocaching is a neat touch, as it's a new idea to so many people. This is a phenomenal book that should definitely become a series! I'd love to continue to follow in Quinn, Brett and Sarah's lives as they do what they can to help others.

I have a day job working for a financial services company. I received a BS degree from Brigham Young in 1991 and an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix in 2002. I currently reside in north Texas with my wife and four children. I am a frequent blogger on my website, www.taylorsbookpub.com, and "The Fallen Body" is my debut mystery/suspense novel.

My thoughts:

This book grabbed me from the get-go and held on tight! Taylour Dixxon is a small town lawyer living a small town life until Sarah Cockrell Baines drops into her life, and then Taylour's life is turned completely upside down. While trying to help Sarah, Taylour is thrown into a world she doesn't understand, where none of them is safe.

I love the mystery element! I was pretty sure I knew who did it all along, but I couldn't figure out how. There was a touch of romance and a dash of family drama, which all fleshed out the story and made me want to keep reading.

Trouble in Paradise Book Review and Giveaway

Welcome to the Florida Keys! Get ready to go on vacation and lose yourself in this action packed read.

What is big news in small town Tarpon Cove? An accidental drowning or perhaps a ruthless murder? When a dead fisherman rolls up on shore, Madison cannot resist jumping into her new role as Private Investigator. But she soon discovers the people in The Cove who normally gossip about everybody's business are unusually tight-lipped.

The bad tenant radar still not working, the cottages continue to be full of riffraff. Madison gets arrested, shot at, and outsmarted. She teams up with her best friend – the Glock carrying Fabiana. Together they take on cases no other investigators would ever touch!

Trouble in Paradise, is the third novel in Deborah Brown's Paradise series, can be read as a stand alone book.

"'Trouble' is captivating from the first paragraph.  The stories are a true adventure!" - review from Amazon

"This book continues the drama as it can only occur in South Florida, with a host of truly fun, unique characters." - Author Kim Cano

My thoughts:

Although I haven't read any of the other books in the Paradise series, I truly adored this book! It was a quick and easy read (I'd love a couple of hours on the beach or in a hammock to read it.) It was a fun whodunit mystery, with some truly hilarious characters!

Since I hadn't read the first two books I was a bit confused at first, since there were so many characters that I didn't know. It's even harder to keep them straight since they're all a fun and zany bunch, always getting into trouble (and making friends with the mortuary staff!)

I love the fact that the women are so kick-butt, even though they do stumble sometimes. This book makes me want to take a vacation and read the rest of the series!

About the Author
The Paradise series, are Florida Keys mysteries, "great as stand-alone reads, but they're like chips...you won't be able to devour just one!"

I've been writing, in one way or another for as long as I can remember; writing poetry, short stories, a romance novel secretly stashed under the bed and sappy love letters. Fiction should be fun. I wanted to create the perfect beach book, to make the reader laugh, cry and cheer... and then run out and tell their friends about it.

My love of reading began when I was seven, the day I opened the cover of my first Mrs. Piggle Wiggle book. Mrs. P gave lessons to other children in how to behave and to me I learned to love the written word. I live with my family and demon children aka rescue cats in South Florida.
