Waiting for Baby Event... Dipe n' Go Review and Giveaway

*UPDATED to add Giveaway!

Have you ever had a messy diaper and had nowhere to change it? Been out running errands and had a soaking wet diaper and no clean bathroom or changing table nearby?

The Dipe n' Go is the perfect product for you! It attaches to the inside of your minivan, SUV, or hatchback with a simple sticky pad and velcro.

Simply attach it to the inside of your vehicle,

Unfold it,

And lay baby down for a convenient and clean change!

It's easy, convenient, and very very handy! It also has 3 pocket in it (on the part that stays attached to the side of the vehicle), perfect for diapers and wipes! This is the most awesome for my hubby, who rarely remembers to bring a diaper bag with him. This way there's always diapers and wipes in a convenient place in the car, or he can simply detach it and take it with him!

One of the best possible things is that it's machine washable! After a messy change you can be sure your changing station is clean and ready for use again.

Dipe n' Go is available at Babies R Us, Toys R Us, Amazon, and Sears, along with other stores.

You can also find Dipe n' Go on Facebook and Twitter.

Do you want to try one for yourself? Dipe n' Go is offering one reader a Dipe n' Go of their own!

Waiting for Baby Event... Picky Sticky Review and Giveaway

As I've learned in the past, it's difficult to keep up with taking pictures of a new baby (and keeping them organized) so that I can put them in the baby book. In the past I went solely by the dates saved by my digital camera and figured out the age at each picture. However, lately I can't really trust my camera's date and time (thanks kids!), but I still want to be able to take pictures of baby at each stage in her life.

Enter Picky Sticky, one of the coolest new products I've found. Picky Sticky was invented when another mother was in the same situation! Paper signs were too difficult after baby got too big and iron-on transfers were too expensive. Plus, every baby is a different size, so they don't always fit into the "appropriate" sized clothing at any given time.

Picky Sticky is a set of stickers that are numbered with the months of the first year. There are also belly stickers, 2nd year stickers, and years of fun. All you do is find an outfit you want to take baby's picture in (preferably light colored and not too crazily patterned) and stick the sticker on it. It's perfect for taking photos and completely removable, so your favorite outfit can still be worn until baby outgrows it!

Aren't they cute? And they look just like really expensive iron-on-transfers! I received the Missy Fissy set from Picky Sticky to review. It has 0 and 1 month- 12 months. They're 4" in diameter and are printed on transparent sticky paper.

Picky Sticky sells the set of 13 months currently for $14.99 (they're on sale, normally $17.95). They carry sets for girls, boys, or gender neutral sets.

The Belly Stickers (which you can stick to your t-shirt or belly during pregnancy) contain stickers starting at 8 weeks and going to 40 weeks (every 4 weeks), along with "It's a Girl," "It's a Boy," and "Surprise".

Years of Fun contains years 1-12.

The 2nd Year contains 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 and 2 year old stickers.

Would these be perfect for you and your kidlets? Want to try them yourself? Picky Sticky is offering one reader a set of their choice!

IMPORTANT Recall Information... Nap Nanny!

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Baby Matters LLC, of Berwyn, Pa., is announcing the voluntary recall of 30,000 Nap Nanny ® portable baby recliners. CPSC is investigating a report of a 4-month-old girl from Royal Oak, Mich. who died in a Nap Nanny ® that was being used in a crib. According to preliminary reports, the infant was in her harness and found hanging over the side of the product, caught between the Nap Nanny® and the crib bumper.

CPSC and Baby Matters are aware of one other incident in which an infant became entrapped when the Nap Nanny was used in a crib, contrary to the product instructions. In that incident, the infant fell over the side of the Nap Nanny ®, despite being harnessed in, and was caught between the baby recliner and the side of the crib. The infant sustained a cut to the forehead.

(photo is an example, using a doll, of improper use)

CPSC and the firm have received 22 reports of infants, primarily younger than 5-months-old, hanging or falling out over the side of the Nap Nanny ® despite most of the infants being placed in the harness. One infant received a bruise as a result of hanging over the side of the product.

Infants can partially fall or hang over the side of the Nap Nanny ® even while the harness is in use. This situation can be worse if the Velcro straps, located inside the Nap Nanny ® cover are not properly attached to the “D”-rings located on the foam, or if consumers are using the first generation model Nap Nanny ® that was sold without “D”-rings. If the Nap Nanny ® is placed inside a crib, play yard or other confined area, which is not a recommended use, the infant can fall or hang over of the side of the Nap Nanny® and become entrapped between the crib side and the Nap Nanny® and suffocate.

**If you own a Nap Nanny, please visit http://www.napnannyrecall.com/ for more information.

*Please note, this information came directly off the CPSC's recall notification.

Waiting for Baby Event... My Baby Clothes Boutique Review and Giveaway

Welcome to day 1 of my Waiting for Baby event! This is the first review and giveaway of the next 3 weeks, but it definitely won't be the last, so come back again later to see what else I have for you!

I feel very lucky to have discovered My Baby Clothes Boutique, a store that sells adorable and unique baby items. They carry a wide variety of layettes and adorable personalized clothing, along with baby hats, headbands, and much much more!

I love their variety of tutus and pettiskirts (for the princess in your life),

and adorable outfits for the prince in your life...

and even gorgeous things for mom!
When My Baby Clothes Boutique offered to send me an item to review, I had a REALLY hard time deciding what to choose, but I finally found an outfit that was unlike anything I'd seen in a store.

I finally chose the Baby M.D. Three-Piece Layette Set in Doctor's Bag Gift Box. It's definitely not the girliest item that they carry, but it's adorable and will get tons of use in our house (we normally prefer comfy clothing over frilly clothing, especially if hubby is dressing the baby!) It will also make for the most adorable pictures with my OB! Baby and doctor will both be in scrubs!

The set came in this adorable doctor bag, which opens up to have the layette hanging inside (it folds up so that when you open the bag the outfit is hanging there like it's in a closet!)

This outfit is adorable and very very soft! It's a minty green one piece outfit (with white "undersleeves" to make it a long sleeve outfit). It also has tiny scrub booties, and a little scrub cap! The outfit even has a stethoscope printed on it and a pen printed into the pocket. It also has Baby M.D. embroidered on the pocket. It also snaps up the middle and down the legs, which is a requirement for easy diaper changes!

Would you like to pick out something for yourself (or for an upcoming baby shower)? My Baby Clothes Boutique is giving away a $25 credit to one of my readers!

A quick update...

Hi all!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. With the possibility of delivering at 38 weeks looming over my head, I figured I needed to get my act together when it comes to getting ready for baby. I must admit, I've never been one of those people who has a gorgeous, well-put together nursery ready for baby a month before baby's due. I'd love to have a gorgeous nursery, but we currently don't have room for one, so for the next few months baby is staying in our room in a bassinet.

Which also meant I had to find room for a set of drawers for her in our room (which involved gutting our room and closet). As of right now, the drawers are in, the room is organized, and all the baby clothes and blankets are washed. Whew! I'll haul the bassinet out of the garage soon and have hubby put it together and then we'll be pretty much ready to go.

The BIG news: baby has flipped! She decided to get with the program and switched to the head down, "locked and loaded" position (and no, locked and loaded is not the term my OB used, since hubby asks me that every time I say it!) S0 now we're back to 40-42 weeks for delivery date (since both my other two were quite late, I sort of expect this one to be the same).

Ultrasound last week moved the due date forward 3 days and put baby at 6lb, 8 oz (plus or minus a pound). All I can say is I hope it's minus a pound, not plus, and I hope she doesn't go 2 weeks late or she'll be HUGE!

I had a super baby shower yesterday, with 10 of my dearest friends at Buca di Beppo! We had an amazing lunch and visited together, which was the real reason behind the shower. I requested no games and all the "standard" baby shower stuff (we have done all of it before) and just had a nice lunch out.

I'm frantically getting ready for my upcoming Waiting for Baby event (which starts next week), so I probably won't post much this week either, as I'm writing the posts in advance for the event (in case I DO go into labor, you all will still have fun reviews and giveaways coming).

Have a great week, and remember, if you post my Waiting for Baby event button BEFORE the event starts, you'll receive 3 extra entries into all my event giveaways (and 2 extra for the Shell gift card giveaway!)

Summer Getaway Shell Card Giveaway!

I'm sitting in my house, dreaming of a summer getaway, but at 37 weeks pregnant I can't go far! Hubby and I are talking about taking the kids to the museum or aquarium or both before baby comes, and since they're both only an hour away it would be possible.

While I'm dreaming of a "real" getaway, I'd love to help a reader with a getaway of their own (whether it's to another state or just the neighborhood park!)

I have another $25 Shell Gift Card to give away to one of my wonderful readers!

To my stubborn, stubborn baby...

My darling little girl,

I'm at 35 weeks today, expecting to see you in 5-7 weeks (since your big brother and sister were both close to two weeks late). All through this pregnancy I've said how different you are than my other pregnancies, since I haven't been miserably sick through the whole 40 weeks like I have in the past.

So I shouldn't have been surprised at my last OB appointment when my doctor said you were breech. Breech! How can that possibly be? Delivery has always been easy in the past, but you're definitely different! Not only that you're sort of footling breech (with your body more sideways than in this picture).

So now I just have to convince you to turn around on your own. I have 3 weeks to convince you before I have to deal with intervention of some sort. I've tried giving you a stern talking-t0, music, different positions, and even the cat helps (he likes to sit on top of my belly and you kick him!)

So far, you're being very very stubborn! If you haven't turned in 3 weeks, we're going to meet you a whole month earlier than I planned! At 38 weeks, doctor's going to try to turn you and then if you're still stubborn you'll be born c-section.

Please, please turn for mommy! I'd love to meet you the old-school way!

(P.S. Do any of my wonderful readers have ideas on how to get this baby to turn? I'll try most anything if it's safe!)
