My thoughts:

Cooper and Willow have reached a strange point in their lives, and in their relationship. Cooper is getting back into his career as a sportswriter, and has suddenly become a father again to his teenage daughter. Willow is considering reconnecting with her father and figuring out what to do with her former fiance.

When a friend is thrust back into a childhood horror and people close to Cooper and Willow go missing and are killed, the two of them must figure out how to save their friends and family, while hopefully keeping themselves safe.

This is my favorite of the Ball and Chain series. It's fast paced and thrilling but yet makes Cooper and Willow into real people, which makes you want to root for them. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

My thoughts:

I absolutely adore Jake and Cody, and their relationship while they are working, whether they're solving crimes or working on more covert situations.

Jake is trying to lay low and live his life on his friend's yacht, when a friend and neighbor is killed by a serial killer and he is framed for it. Jake uses his connections in all different walks of life to try to help solve the crime and provide some justice for his friend.

This book is a tremendous addition to the series, and continues the connections with friends that are a thread through all of Mr. Nolan's stories. I can't wait to read more about this group in the future!

My thoughts:

Dane's life is spent trying to save sharks and educate people on their lives, which takes him onto the open ocean often. He and Lacy met and can't stop thinking about each other. When they have the chance to connect again nothing can stop them.

But can they get through their pasts and their present to be with each other? Can they make each other happy in the long term?

This is a fun, flirty love story with an amazing back story. The group of family and friends that these two people have make me want to move to a beach town and find a new crew! My favorite part of Mrs. Cole's stories are the group dynamics, and I love the community that Dane and Lacy are in. I can't wait to read the next books in the series!
