BGCA Cyber Safe Site and chance to win an iPad mini!

“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for BGCA. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating."

As far as my kids using the Internet, we're super strict parents. Our kids are only allowed to go to certain websites, they're not allowed to have phones, social media accounts, and they're extremely limited on the amount of time they can use the Internet. They can't use any site that lets them chat with people (which severely restricts their gaming, much to their chagrin!)

Yet I'm still constantly trying to figure out the boundaries. For example, my son's Boy Scout troop recently said he needed his own login to their website, which requires an email that's different from mine (since I have a login also). So hubby and I spent awhile discussing whether he was getting his own email or sharing one of ours. (We still haven't decided, by the way!)

So when Boys & Girls Clubs of America asked me to promote their new site about Cyber Safety, I was all for it! The site answers tons of questions and is helpful for all parents and their kids. There's a quiz to see how CyberSmart you are as a parent, a section of resources for parents and youth, and my very favorite part: Ask the Cyber Tribe! The CyberTribe is a group of expert teens who will answer your questions about how to keep your kids safe online!

Want to try it for yourself? Go to BGCA's Cyber Safe Site and see how awesome it is. As a bonus, if you ask the CyberTribe a question you can enter to win an iPad mini for you and $500 donated to the Boys & Girls Club of your choice! So go ask some questions!

Oh, and please leave me a comment regarding what you think we should do about the email for my son. I can use all the ideas I can get!
