VTech Innotab Learning Cartridge Review and Giveaway

As you all know, VTech is one of the favorite brands in our house. We have lots of VTech toys, but the all-time favorite is our InnoTab 3S. Even the big kids play it reasonably regularly!

We received two new InnoTab cartridges to play and learn with, and they are absolutely perfect for my preschooler who is struggling to learn to write correctly.

Learn to Write with Cody & Cora (ages 3-6, MSRP $24.99)

This game and book are excellent for helping learn handwriting skills! Cody and Cora are Smart Cubs that are featured in the e-book included on this cartridge. Kids can read and listen to the e-book and then work their way through the games, which get progressively more challenging.

Kids also unlock certain games and areas by completing games and letter practice.

The biggest plus for me about this game is that it shows you how to correctly write your letters. It's always a big struggle to teach kids that letters should be written in a certain order and in a certain direction. For example, if your child is crossing the T first then drawing the line down it won't accept it.

The one drawback for me is that a lot of the games on this cartridge are very similar, so exploring more games isn't as exciting as it could be.

Go! Go! Smart Wheels Busy Day in Alphabet Town (ages 2-5, MSRP $24.99)

Go! Go! Smart Wheels has a wide variety of different games and activities. It is definitely my daughter's favorite game that she owns (and she has quite a few, so that's a big deal!) Each of the games have a cute intro video and the e-book is fun.

At the Mechanic Shop kids match the letters on the cars to the letters in the mechanic bays so that the cars can be repaired.

Catch a Letter Thief has you chasing down the road in your police car to find letters, tipping your InnoTab from side to side to change lanes.

In Fire Truck Rescue you're trying to find a kitten stuck in a tree by matching letters to their sounds.

Letter Construction teaches you to write your letters properly.

Alphabet Review reviews letters, their sounds and gives you pictures of words that start with that letter.

You can also customize your own car and explore Alphabet town, which unlocks as you complete other sections of the game.

This is a great game cartridge, with a wide variety of alphabet games. It also has a large age range that it works for, since there are so many types of alphabet games. Younger kids can do well matching letters and older kids can practice writing and sound association.

The awesome thing about both of these cartridges is that they work with all current InnoTab models and with the new InnoTab MAX!

Want to find out more? Check out the cartridges here, all of the InnoTab products here, or find InnoTab on Twitter or Facebook.

These would make a great gift idea for the little ones in your life!

Want to win these cartridges? InnoTab is giving one of my readers the two games that I received for their very own! Just enter on the Rafflecopter below and good luck!
