We went to Leoness Cellars, where we had a tour of the production area, barrel room and vineyard, while we sampled wine along the way.
That big bottle of wine on top of the rack is 6 1/2 bottles worth of wine in one giant bottle!
Entrance to the vineyards from the barrel room (you feel like a mole when you step out of this very cold dark room into the Temecula heat and sun!
Rows of grapes and the ripening fruit.
The view from the tasting room patio.
After Leoness we went to Oak Mountain Winery, then to Mount Palomary Winery.
Luckily we ate a delicious lunch here, so we sobered up enough that we could
continue our tour and actually enjoy the wine!
After Mount Palomar we went to Bel Vino, then the ever-wonderful Tony took us back to Leoness to purchase some port. I'm not a port drinker but I LOVED their port, and I tried it at all of the rest of the wineries and hated myself for not buying it at the first stop.
**This is in no way a sponsored post. I just had a great time and wanted to share with you!
This looks like a great (and fun!) trip! I really need that car. :-) Katharina
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this place before and loved the review. Maybe some day I will get the opportunity to visit!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like that really enjoyed very much with that wine testing tour. I think it will be bad Idea if you drive after drink. Well you smart that hire a guide for that trip. Well I had also visited that Temecula place with my groups of friends. We are better known that after testing we may be able to control our self that's why we also hired a guide for us about whom anybody can know by their site as moses-tours.com.
